Sen. Amy Klobuchar: The Purpose of the Senate Hearing Was to Go After Jack Smith, to Distract People from What’s Really Going on Right Now

‘I haven‘t heard from him since’

EXCERPT:

KLOBUCHAR: "Okay. I‘m sorry, he accused Jack Smith of perjury in the moment and said, 'Don‘t perjure yourself.' And then he ended his questions by calling him a dirtbag. Those were his exact words. So my point was, don‘t call someone a dirtbag when you don‘t have your own facts, right? And you are trying in your kind of MAGA conspiracy world to come up with this crazy thing that he was in a city that he wasn‘t in, that he was at a game and he had the wrong league and the wrong state and the wrong city, and then use that to completely try to discredit him, which, of course, didn‘t work in a minute. And my other thought is, if you‘re going to have these kinds of hearings, why don‘t you have them about health care costs and how 8 million people have been kicked off their health care. Why aren‘t you talking about these tariffs and the effect it‘s having on farmers in the Midwest? But instead, the purpose of this hearing was to try to go after this guy, undermine him, grill him to basically distract people what is really going on right now — from what is really going on right now in their lives."
