Chris Coons: Another Version of SAVE Act Will Be up for a Vote — Another Attempt to Influence Outcome of Midterm Elections
‘Trump has not stopped trying to change the rules of mail-in ballots’
TRANSCRIPT:
COONS: “We likely will have a vote here in the next day or two on another version of the so-called SAVE Act, which is a way to disenfranchise millions of American voters. So, Trump has not stopped trying to change the rules of mail-in ballots and mail-in voting, trying to influence the outcome of this election. And we need to encourage folks who care about democracy, who are willing and ready to come out and vote to exercise your right to vote. Don’t get scared off. Don’t get dissuaded, make a plan and get out there and vote in this midterm. Accountability for these sorts of shenanigans through the ballot box is the most important power we have as citizens in a democracy.”
