MESSINA: "There’s been 10 polls in Texas since August, and the Democrats lead in every single one of them. Joe, we last won a statewide race in Texas my senior year in college. I’m now a member of the AARP. So it has been a long time in Texas. We’ve been talking about turning Texas blue for two decades, and now there’s a very real chance that James Talarico is going to win the Senate race, in part because he’s a great candidate, in part because Paxton is the worst candidate of this cycle. You know, the last Democrat to win Florida was Barack Obama in 2012, and yet we’re likely to pick up a couple of House seats and now, you know, David Jolly is basically tied in the governor’s race.
