BURNETT: “There were a couple of them. Congressman Thomas Massie also has posted on this. He said, ‘Don’t worry, using taxpayer dollars to run ominous campaign ads of the president has been done before and is completely legal in banana republics.’ So, all of this has prompted the White House to respond. Put out a statement saying, quote, ‘The announcements are very clearly not campaign ads. President Trump is not on the ballot and there is no call to action.’ Well, except for they actually are campaign ads. I mean, let me just show you one of them because it’s a 30-second spot. On your left is the ad paid for by you, American taxpayers.”
