Condoleezza Rice on Iran: ‘Be Patient, Keep the Blockade in Place’; ‘I Don’t Think You Have To Go to Full-Scale Military Operations Again’

RICE: “Let’s keep the blockade in place. The blockade, which I wish we had done earlier, by the way, which is keeping them — basically, we’ve said to them, if nobody can come out of the Straits of Hormuz, neither can you. And for them, that’s a real problem because they’re not going to have a place to store that oil. And so, they’re going to have to keep — they can’t keep producing. Their only source of revenue is their oil. And so, when I say be patient, keep the blockade in place, keep the potential threat if they try to rebuild their nuclear program, being able to take it out again, if necessary. But I don’t think you have to go to full-scale military operations again. I think we can wait.”
