OSBORN: “A bill to push back invasive data centers passed almost unanimously in the House before it was killed in the Senate by the Democrats. Over and over again, Congress has shut down any policy that would help us. Faced with the option to do something, as always, Congress has done nothing. So, we’re calling for the policies laid out in the AI Pact. A ban on tax breaks for data centers, a requirement that every new major AI model faces a mandatory independent safety review before release, protections for workers to keep jobs from being taken by AI, and policies that ensure AI companies are not above the law.”
