HOST: "CBS News has learned a California family who gave millions of dollars in political donations to Governor Gavin Newsom, Kamala Harris, and other leading California politicians allegedly had ties to a suspected Chinese spy. According to newly released FBI files, Chei Chen Yin, patriarch of the wealthy Yin family, had a close working relationship with suspected Chinese spy Fang Fang, also known as Christine Fang, through his political organization, Asian Pacific American Public Affairs. Fang even appeared alongside Yin at a dinner event in 2013, two years before she fled to China in 2015. The Yin family has donated nearly $3 million to state-level political causes in California, along with an additional $1.4 million to federal campaigns.”
