MS NOW’s Rohde: ‘The Iranians Continue to Outmaneuver President Trump’

ROHDE: "I think, again, the U.N. General Assembly was a missed opportunity for President Trump. He gave the same speech he gave last year, largely. And the Iranians, I don’t trust them. Again, what Iran needs more than anything is an election. This is a terrible regime killed tens of thousands of protesters there. So — but I think they were smart in that they offer this plan that talks about opening the Strait in seven days, and to the rest of the world, at least, you know, it makes them look reasonable, they’re trying to get peace. So, again, the president sort of missing an opportunity and getting outmaneuvered by Iran. And what matters on the ground is that Iran had its proxies take out this critical pipeline, blow up pumping stations for it in Saudi Arabia, and then other proxies are threatening to close the Red Sea, the second big choke point for oil through the region. And the Iranians, I don’t like saying this, but it’s a fact, the Iranians continue to outmaneuver President Trump."
