Efficiency, especially in the age of DOGE, efficiency has been taken on as a right-wing concern, rooting out fraud and waste, a right-wing concern. And there has been a sense that if you are to admit to an interest in those, then you are assisting the right-wing. When in fact, what I think the truth is, is that if you ignore these things, that is what the assistance is.”
