Mike Rogers Says ‘Now Is the Time to Start Winding Down’ Iran War

ROGERS: "So, a couple of things. We’ve been pretty patient on the timeline. I absolutely agree that we cannot let Iran get a nuclear weapon. You want $8-a-gallon gas, let Iran have a nuclear weapon. S I absolutely agreed with that. I think they’ve entered a phase, they either — there’s a couple options for them. I think the best option now is to wind it down. There are still other things you can do to make sure that they can’t hurt their neighbors and can’t pursue a nuclear weapon. I just argue the time is now. This is the most important harvest time of the year in Michigan, September and October, diesel costs are — they’re pushing over six bucks. That is going to take a terrific toll not only on our farmers trying to get the harvest out of the field, but certainly grocery prices. And my argument is, you just can’t let it go and linger. Now’s the time to start winding this thing up."
