John Brennan Hints That Russians Influenced Trump by Funding His Son’s Wedding Party

BRENNAN: “And for an intelligence service, there’s no better way to influence a president of the United States than to get to his closest advisers. And certainly, Don Jr. And Jared Kushner, who were there, are the prime ways to be able to gain access to the president through them. And so, again, it was a real coup. And the fact that they contributed hundreds of thousands of dollars, or whatever the amount was, to that, I think really just underscores the determination to cultivate that relationship in order to gain what’s called an access agent who is able to influence policy. And we saw soon after that wedding that Donald Trump had called for the Ukrainians to stop their strikes against diesel stations and diesel sites inside of Russia. So, again, it’s a mechanism that the Russians can use in order to get their views into Donald Trump so that they can, in fact, advance their own policy interests.”
