Sen. Welch: Tariffs on Canada Make No Sense and Are Inflicting Enormous Pain

EXCERPT:

WELCH: "No, absolutely. I’m absolutely 100% against these tariffs. With Canada, it’s going to be $193 million. There’s a place for tariffs. Actually, frankly, China, that’s a legitimate discussion. But tariffs on Canada when we have what the president bragged rightly was the best USMCA deal ever, they make no sense and are inflicting enormous pain. And when you add to that $6.50 for diesel, that’s brutal for folks."
