Abdul El-Sayed: ‘We Need Equal Rights to Peace, Dignity and Self-Determination’ for Israelis and Palestinians

EL-SAYED: “Yeah. My position is that we need equal rights to peace, dignity and self-determination. My position, Joe, is that every child growing up in the holy land, whether you’re a Palestinian child or a Jewish child, should not have to look at their future and ask, what happens now and where do we go from here? And I’ve said, until we have a real Palestinian self-determination movement that can speak on its own terms, it’s going to be very difficult for us to imagine that kind of a peace. And so if the free Palestinian people and the free Jewish Israeli people come together and say, we want two states for two people, I’m for it. If they come together and say, we want one state where we share. I’m for that, but I’m for keeping our money here and not using it to buy bombs and tanks to drop on other people. And so if we have equal rights”
