J.B. Pritzker: ‘Governors Probably Stand the Best Chance’ of Being the Democratic Presidential Candidate in 2028

‘Governors have to actually deliver for people’

RUSH EXCERPT:

PRITZKER: "I’m so glad you asked that question because it is about the person. It’s about the character of the person I think that we should be considering. But I also want to say that, I mean, the other governors that you say have said they like governors. I will say there is something about being governor. I can tell you we have to deliver for the people that we lead. If you’re a legislator and you’re voting on things, that’s great, but you can go home and say, I voted for that thing. It didn’t happen, but I’m going to vote for it again. And that’s not a bad reason to reelect somebody. But governors have to actually deliver for people. So that’s why I think governors probably stand the best chance. And I think people are one of the reasons they voted for Donald Trump in 2016. And people who voted for him in 2020 and 2024 is that they were sick and tired of people weren’t delivering for them.”
