Actor Chase Chrisley Speaks out Against Synthetic 7-OH Opioid on Capitol Hill
‘I lost a friend to 7-OH because he thought he was buying natural kratom, but it was misrepresented as kratom and it wasn’t’
EXCERPT:
CHRISLEY: "We are here to talk about banning 7-OH, which is a synthetic opioid, and protecting natural kratom. Yeah."
BALLASY: "Have lawmakers been receptive to your message?"
CHRISLEY: "Some have, you know. I mean, we have a bill that we're hoping that will pass that will ban synthetic opioids like 7-OH because it's killing so many people, but protect natural kratom because it's saving so many lives."
BALLASY: "And what personally made you get involved in this cause? Do you have a personal connection to it?"
CHRISLEY: "I do. I lost a friend to 7-OH because he thought he was buying natural kratom, but it was misrepresented as kratom and it wasn't. It was 7-OH. So that's what we're doing here."
