COBB: "Well, I think it tells us a lot, but it tells us a lot that I’m afraid we already know. I mean, Trump is like no other president. You know, the norms that other presidents held close to their heart, which were to, you know, try to portray themselves as, you know, courageous, virtuous, honest Trump. He makes no effort to do that. You know, he’s, he’s, he’s none of those things. In fact, he, he showboats his corruption and his vanity. This is this is, you know, defiance of federal law. We’re going to see more and more of that. We’ve we saw it recently with the Justice Department when at Trump’s direction, the Justice Department fell into line and tried to extend executive privilege to private communications with private individuals, which is constitutionally absurd, of course, but but they do that in an effort to try to insulate Trump and his community of sycophants, you know, from the the upcoming investigations that are virtually certain if the Democrats take the house.”
