Peter Baker on Iran: They Seem To Be Stuck in This Quasi–Stasis Where, We’re Not Fully in Big Time Combat or at Peace

‘They don’t seem to have much of a plan going forward’

RUSH EXCERPT:
BAKER: "Well, they don’t give any impression that they do. They seem to be stuck in. We say this kind of quasi stasis where we’re not really fully in in big time combat, and we’re not obviously at peace without resolution. And as you just talked about with your previous guests, you know, they don’t seem to have much of a plan going forward. I think that they think that it’s kind of an anaconda strategy. That’s what some of their allies say, that they can squeeze Iran over time. But so far, anyway, that hasn’t affected Iran’s calculation and the original plan for a 4 to 6 week conflict or war, whatever word you want to use, we’re now into its seventh month."
