LAWLER: “That is now the mainstream platform of the Democratic Party. If I asked you what Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries are running on to be leader, you couldn't answer it other than to say they hate Trump. If I asked you what AOC, Bernie Sanders, and Zohran Mamdani were running on, you could rattle off a whole litany of things, including government takeover of healthcare, raising taxes by $4 trillion, defunding the police, abolishing ICE, sanctuary state policies. This is the platform of the Democratic Party today, so unfortunately I'm not surprised that only a handful of my colleagues voted against condemning socialism.”
