BRUCE (voice-over): "Tonight, a sharp escalation in the war. The U.S. and Iran trading intense attacks as President Trump issues a familiar threat. If things keep going in this direction, Iran will be 'totally wiped out as a country.' The president had been trying to downplay the scope of the war — "

TRUMP: "This is a relatively little war for us. This is not a big war."

BRUCE (voice-over): " — but the U.S. now launching a new round of attacks after Iran struck two tankers in the Strait of Hormuz. Trump saying the Pentagon is also targeting Iran’s radar systems. Iran claims the U.S. is striking civilian areas, including a wedding. The Pentagon responding, 'We are aware of the reports. The U.S. Military never targets civilians.' Iran now firing missiles and drones at U.S. allies, including Jordan.”
