Mallory McMorrow when Asked if El-Sayed Needs to Disavow Hasan Piker More Strongly: ‘We Are Sick of Talking About Hasan Piker’
EXCERPT:
MCMORROW: “Here‘s what I can tell you on the ground from Michigan. We are sick of talking about Hasan Piker. Hasan Piker is not running for anything that I know of. If I‘m wrong, I hope that somebody corrects me. But I know that members of the community are deeply concerned about anti-Semitism, and that is part of the conversation. I know Abdul attended the Michigan Democrats’ Summer Simcha yesterday, and was a part of those conversations. So, there is a lot of noise. There has been more ink spilled about a streamer than about the fact that Mike Rogers, in some reporting by The Bulwark, wants to repeal the Affordable Care Act, wants to charge $50 for every cancer screening, every routine doctor‘s appointment, which means that a lot of my constituents are just going to go without care, and thinks that it‘s okay for insurance companies to deny care if you have a preexisting condition. It is a lot of distraction.”
