Mike Barnicle: ‘We Are Now Confronted With a President’ Who Has Spent ‘More Time Vilifying Canada’ Than Putin

‘As well as the daily obsession with putting his name on things from libraries to the Kennedy center’

RUSH EXCERPT:

BARNICLE: "Yeah, that’s all true. And I don’t disagree. I would never dare disagree with Mr. Meacham, professor meacham, or with you, Willie. Oh, but I think this is a little different this time. We are involved in a war that he helped start the United States helped start that we seemingly can’t end or get out of. We are now confronted with a president of the United States who has spent more time vilifying Canada than he has Vladimir Putin and Russia. We have all of that. And as well as the daily obsession with putting his name on things from libraries to the Kennedy center to the front of the White House, who knows? So you have all of that, and you also have an administration that almost on a daily basis, goes out of its way to remove programs or trim programs aimed at helping middle class people and people living right at the edge, poor people in this country with a level of cruelty involved in what they do that is unmatched in my memory.”
