Jason Johnson: ‘People Don’t Want to Give Money to Republican Candidates’ Closely Aligned With Trump

‘Trump has been sort of preparing, he’s kind of rearranging deck chairs on the titanic’

RUSH EXCERPT:

JOHNSON: "We had friendly relations with Canada for a long time. I don’t know if this started with Drake and Kendrick, but now it’s turned into this like, heated rivalry between our countries. Now people are taking shots back and forth, and that’s not what we used to have to think about, right? We’re used to politicians maybe being critical of our neighbors to the south, but not to the north. I think the larger issue here and Mike Johnson exemplifies this and Trump exemplifies this. When you’re explaining you’re losing, right? When Mike Johnson has to give a sixth grade history lesson to make everybody feel better, you know, things are going to go badly. And Trump has been sort of preparing. He’s kind of rearranging deck chairs on the titanic. It’s like, well, let me name this and let me change the curtains because he’s prepared for his Shaggy defense, right? When when the Republicans lose this fall, he’s going to say, it wasn’t me. It was them. They didn’t listen to me. If they had stuck closer to me, we would win. And that’s what he’s always done. And ari. It’s not just that it’s bad for branding. It’s not just that he’s unpopular. This is affecting fundraising, right? It’s not just the bad economy.”
