PRESSLEY: "Again, I can only speak to what I’m hearing on the ground, and people are managing so much, and they’re just looking for people that are going to lighten their load and fight like hell, and not only to to mitigate the harm in this moment, but to advance real progress and to make it possible for them to actualize their dreams. And moreover, people really don’t care about labels. Again, they care about the strength of our fight. No one is telling me, as I travel the country from Tennessee to to Michigan, to Texas to, you know, play small to aim lower. They’re looking for us, for Democrats to stop being the adults in the room, but to be the fighters in the room. And what I love about it is I don’t worry about him. I don’t wonder about him. I know that he’s not making a decision to tackle criminal legal reform and police brutality, environmental racism, supporting small business, black owned business, championing Medicare for all, abolishing ice. He’s made those decisions because of the clarity of his of his morals and his strength of conviction, not because of polling in every which way. The wind, the wind blows, you know, hashtags will fade, headlines will fade. But I want someone that’s connected to the people and that’s actively listening to them and advancing responsive legislation. And people want us to advance solutions that go as far and as deep as the hurt. And ed’s been doing that, and he’s made those decisions by being close to the people. Nothing to do with polling or which way the wind blows."
