Ben Domenech on Elections: Trump Is Very Frustrated with House and Senate Republicans, They Seem Bad at Making the Case for Themselves

‘They need A reset in the coming weeks’

EXCERPT:

DOMENECH: “Look, I think the president’s dominance over the party is unquestionable, but I also think that going into this election, I think he is very frustrated with the fact that House Republicans and Senate Republicans seem very bad at making the case for themselves. There is so much infighting going on between them, between the White House, over different agenda priorities, etc., and that really has dominated the conversation here in Washington. They need a reset in the coming weeks in this RNC in Dallas where they actually come together and have a message going into the fall, or else we’re going to see history prevail, I think, for a lot of these people because winds are against them, they see the kind of numbers that they have got when it comes to their popularity. People are going to come out and vote hard, I think, against, you know, the kind of things that they view as Washington intransigence to get the president’s agenda done. So they need to come together in order to have a hope in the fall.”
