DUFFY: “We're trying to enhance the traveling experience, right, so making investments, whether it's in mothers' rooms or play areas for kids or family lines, and also making investments in just concourses, giving grant money to local airports. This is a small number, Brian. These are billion-dollar builds across the country. But the magic that America wants is they want an air traffic control system that is safe but way more efficient. I'm talking to air traffic controllers around the country, and all of them are shocked at how fast we are moving to deploy new technology, new systems, new displays for controllers. And again, sometimes when I say fast, you're like, is this a week or a month? No, I mean, listen, this takes a couple of years. But this has been three decades in the making, and already just one year in, we are making substantial progress to building a brand-new system. I'd love to have another conversation with you. We are going to start to deploy new software at the end of September, and we're going to do it slowly because we have to do it safely,”
