LEIBOVICH: “There has been the baseline lack of, you know, consistent messaging on why this is happening. I mean, that's been in place pretty much from the beginning. But now, on top of the expense, you have things like the munitions shortage, and now, you know, some really troubling reports about, you know, what is happening to the troops and the effect of this on the ground. And what's really, really precarious here is that there could be some real calamitous effects of this going forward. And that's where a situation that seems really intractable and really, really problematic for the administration could turn really, really ugly really fast.”
