STAVRIDIS: "You are precisely correct. It is all about actions and deeds, not words. So, I‘m happy if the president gets along with Kim Jong-un. That‘s not going to help us when Kim Jong-un sends tens of thousands of troops to fight for Vladimir Putin in Ukraine. It‘s not going to help us when Kim expands his nuclear arsenal, as he‘s doing day by day. It‘s not going to help us when Kim launches ballistic missiles at our closest ally in the Pacific, Japan, and continues to threaten South Korea, a true and I would say model ally of the United States. So, in all of those instances, I‘m watching for a change in behavior from Kim Jong-un, not a love letter to Donald Trump."
