Rep. Chris Deluzio: Iran War Has Been a ‘Disaster’ Despite Claims Iranian Military Was ‘Combat Ineffective’

‘Six months on, people are paying for this at the gas pump‘

RUSH EXCERPT:
DELUZIO: “Yeah. Look, there’s never it’s never easy to be deployed, to be away from family. The mission and the camaraderie sustains you. But you’D expect that your commander in chief, your secretary of defense, had thought through. Who will replace you in the fight? I cannot imagine that Franklin Roosevelt and Harry Truman, managing world war two, didn’t have a plan to replace aircraft carriers, and how long folks would be on station, whether they would get rest and relaxation, whether they’D have time in port, how you’D cycle through the crews. This is basic stuff. And again, I just come back to this, Lawrence, when this started, when guys like me were saying, pump the brakes, why are you starting this war? I had to listen to Republicans tell me it’s not a war. I had to listen to Pete Hegseth shortly after starting this war, tell us that they had made the Iranian military combat ineffective."
