HAYS: "I don’t think there’s ever a risk in bringing people into the Democratic Party and the democratic values. You also saw record turnout in places like Texas. They had record turnout in the primary for James Talarico and gina hinojosa. So I just think that this is just the the anti-incumbent sentiment that we’re seeing. But also people are mad. People are mad at Donald Trump and his policies. They’re mad at the economy. They want to be able to afford their groceries and their gas. And the only way that they can change that is by voting. And that is what you’re seeing. So they are out there making their voices heard and voting for Democrats up and down ballots all across the country. The DNC has put out numbers where we Democrats have overperformed or won an over 90% of elections since the 2024 election. That says something about what people are experiencing in their pocketbooks, and they’re not pleased with what Donald Trump and the rest of his cronies are just rubberstamping through in our economy."
