Marc Thiessen on Luigi Mangione Pleading Guilty: He Did It to Avoid More Serious Charges, No Expression of Remorse Whatsoever

THIESSEN: "It’s disgraceful. That statement that you put up, what I was looking for and didn’t find is any expression of remorse whatsoever. This is a guy that left two children fatherless. His lawyer paints him as the victim. He didn’t do this because he feels remorse for what he did. He did it as a ploy to avoid double jeopardy and a more serious charge of first degree murder in the New York case as opposed by pleading guilty to two stalking charges. It’s unclear whether that will work or not. I hope Alvin Bragg pursues this to the fullest extent of the law. This is a guy who has neglected prosecuting violent crime after going after political prosecutions of Donald Trump. I hope he treated Luigi Mangione with the same intensity of Donald Trump. Everybody should want this guy to get the severest punishment possible."
