James Stavridis on Iran: During the Forever Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, ‘They Had an End Game’

During the forever wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, our soldiers our army soldiers deployed into combat ground combat for 12 months. But they they had an end game, and they knew that was coming. He‘s going to continue to press to accomplish the mission. We ought to be proud of this carrier and these escort ships. And oh, by the way, when they come off station, I hope the first visitor is the president of the United States who lands on the deck of the carrier and awards them a presidential unit citation for their excellence in combat. In this record setting, deployment."
