Jonathan Martin: In Places Like the Upper Midwest, There Is a Degree of Pragmatism Certainly in the Dem Party
‘This is a great election cycle’
EXCERPT:
MARTIN: “What’s extraordinary about Wisconsin, Joe, is the fact that Hong was defeated at all and that Crowley found his way back, and credit to Governor Tony Evers for taking that risk. But it does show, especially in places like the Upper Midwest, there is a degree of pragmatism, certainly, in the Democratic Party of this is a great election cycle. We can’t just give this away. And guys, it reminded me a lot of 2020 and how Biden got the nomination, left for dead, written off, polls look terrible, gets a really key endorsement, and then, you know, rockets because of that and because of just the sheer pragmatism of Democrats.”
