Remember the one where he taps the glass of the camera and, grinning, insists he's going to tax the rich with a big smile? That went down well with the socialist crowd, of course, but not other people. He's been in office for eight months, and although he's kept his base, there are signs he's losing some of the city's important constituents. And that could count against him in the future. You want to run a city like New York, you need the support of all the groups that keep it running. 'The Wall Street Journal' says this, 'Mamdani's honeymoon with New York is over.' Mamdani won't care what the Journal says, but that headline tells the story of the challenges Mamdani has in front of him.”
