Fox News: Trump Requests DOJ to Take a Second Look at the Reflecting Pool Case
EXCERPT:
SPUNT: "So, the reflecting pool case was dropped. The felony case was dropped against Davey Hern. He is the Olympian. Officials, including the president, want DoJ to take a second look at the now infamous case where Department charged Hern with felony vandalism, only to back off a month later. U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro dropped the case after she said the Interior Department, Bret, withheld evidence that cleared Hern and pointed to the contractor as a reason for the pool problems. President Trump has repeatedly criticized Pirro for the decision, but she stands by it. FOX is told DoJ officials are looking at a potential misdemeanor charge today for Hern. We have reached out to his legal team. Newly installed Attorney General Todd Blanche says that he stands by Pirro. Separately, House Democrats want records from the Department on the investigation, meaning the reflecting pool story is going to continue, especially if Democrats take over the House in November."
