Dr. Richard Besser: Children Will Suffer Under RFK Jr.’s Anti-Vaccine Agenda

BESSER: “Well, you know, we have a HHS Secretary, RFK Jr.., who is one of the nation‘s leading anti-vaccine advocates. He tried to put in this schedule back in January. He issued it from the department. He didn‘t go through the process that Congress put in place to ensure that our vaccine recommendations are solid, are evidence-based, that our vaccines are safe. So he launched this in January. It was challenged in the court by the American Academy of Pediatrics. I‘m a member, as well as other groups. And a judge said, ‘No, you can‘t do this.’ So this is another attempt to to put in the secretary‘s anti-vaccine agenda. I expect that the courts won‘t accept it, but that doesn‘t mean there won‘t be damage, because whenever you politicize these decisions and take them away from well-thought decisions and conversations that parents have with their doctors, with their nurses, with their pharmacists, you‘re going to you‘re going to get into a situation where children suffer.”
