CNN Panel Skewers Francesca Hong, AOC: ‘Deeply Unserious Person;’ What Positions of Woke 1.0 Are ‘Too Crazy’ for Woke 2.0?

EGBEWOLE: "We just giggle and we forget, is what AOC is saying. However, there were people like Francesca Hong, who adapted to a lot of that rhetoric and fully believe it. And she's leading a campaign with that as her values. I think Francesca Hong is a deeply unserious person. I think we've all but lost Wisconsin if she wins this primary over David Crowley. I sincerely hope people in Wisconsin choose differently."

RANTZ: "I don't, to be clear."

EGBEWOLE: "She is a reflection of the way — we're laughing now, but this is the way a lot of people were talking. White women were apologizing to me about their own whiteness. And so, Francesca Hong saying her proximity to whiteness and her biracial son makes her uncomfortable, quite frankly, if we take that and put it in 2019, it all kind of gels and fits together."

RANTZ: "Which is why it's just so ironic to hear AOC talk about woke 1.0 as if, number one, she wasn't a part of it when she obviously was and she's trying to rewrite history.”
