Literally in early March, a few a week into the war, I questioned a senior pentagon leader about this exact problem, and they just denied the reality that we were hearing from folks on the ground. The problem is we have expended so many munitions in just a few months that it will literally take us a decade plus just to get back to the level of interceptors and precision strike missiles, which are incredibly expensive and incredibly slow to produce.”
