Brad Todd: It’s Not President Trump’s Job to Ask Rep. Max Miller to Resign

TODD: “Oh, well, I‘m sorry with the delay, it was my fault. I‘m sorry. Alyssa, you know, there‘s a lot of pressure happening. Max‘s colleagues are urging him to drop out. Not both his senators from his own state have urged him to drop out. He‘s got a chorus of popular Republican senators urging him to drop out. That‘s how these things happen. You know, Donald Trump is not ever asking anyone to drop out because of a personal scandal. And frankly, it‘s not his job as the policeman of the party. But it‘s his max‘s colleague‘s job to do this. And I will just note, when Graham Platner was credibly accused of abuse in June before the primary in Maine, zero Democratic senators called on him to drop out and they had a better option. They had a better option. Governor Janet Mills sitting there. So here you see Republicans trying to get Max Miller to drop out. Now, Democrats did not do that before that June 9th primary in Maine. I think that‘s a contrast.”
