Ag Sec. Rollins: None of These Blue States Shared Their Data to Prevent SNAP Benefits Fraud Until We Came into Office
EXCERPT:
ROLLINS: “First of all, that no one had ever asked them for the data before until we came in 18 months ago. We sent a letter, I sent a letter to every governor saying, partner with us. This is not political. We are sending all of this taxpayer money. We have no idea how it's being spent. The fraud is rampant. We know that it is. All the Republican governors and two Democrat governors said, yes, we want to be a part of this. What we have found in those states that have more guardrails than Minnesota or New York or California, you know, a couple hundred thousand dead people, half a million people getting more than one benefit. I mean, people driving luxury cars. But the other blue states, including the three that you mentioned, sued us. So we are in massive litigation right now trying to get that data so that we can better serve the American taxpayer.”
