Sen. Moreno Responds to Rep. Miller Denying His Story About His Granddaughter’s Blue Bunny
EXCERPT:
MORENO: "Look, I have the receipts because I actually went to the Bay Village Police Station on Sunday, picked up the baby. Not my fault, by the way. I should have asked him for the blue bunny. But wouldn’t you think like a normal person would say, 'Oh my gosh, I forgot also.' Make sure we get — by the way, it’s a 10-minute drive. It’s not even a different town. 'Oh my God, I’ll get you the blue bunny.' It took five lawyers to get the blue bunny back 48 hours later. Whether or not that’s true, I will release the text messages and emails between the therapist, his lawyers, my daughter’s lawyers. Lawyers making hundreds of dollars an hour are discussing a blue bunny. It’s his daughter. It’s his daughter. His daughter’s crying to sleep because she doesn’t have this blue bunny and he’s more concerned about how to score points of emotional abuse against his ex-wife. That’s very, very sad. I hope, honestly, there’s a point in time before she becomes an adult that he realizes that he himself needs to grow up and he needs to become a father and stop with this nonsense. And that’s the part that I just don’t understand. I have four kids. I would take a bullet for each and every one of them. Again, I just wish he felt the same way. I really do. And hopefully, look, all I can always be is optimistic. I hope it’s someday in the future he loves his child more than he loves his job."
