Michael Feinberg: We Shouldn’t Be Taking Todd Blanche’s Promises About the Anti-Weaponization Fund with Any Degree of Seriousness

‘This is somebody who, when he was going through the process to become deputy attorney general, promised up and down that there would be no politicized prosecutions under his watch at DoJ’

EXCERPT:

FEINBERG: “This is somebody who, when he was going through the process to become deputy attorney general, promised up and down that there would be no politicized prosecutions under his watch at DOJ. Now, perhaps he thinks he's kept that promise in some cloud cuckoo land fantasy, but I think folks like Jim Comey, Letitia James, the Broadview Six, Don Lemon, David Hearn at the Reflecting Pool, they might disagree that there's been no political prosecutions at DOJ, as might anybody who's read a newspaper in the past 18 months. So, I don't think we should be taking any of Blanche's promises about the weaponization fund or about anything else with any degree of seriousness.”
