VAN HOLLEN: “Kasie, I think that the similarities between AIPAC and the NRA are they are both very strong and influential and well-financed lobbies. In the case of the NRA, trying to stop, you know, commonsense gun laws. In the case of AIPAC, wanting unconditional American taxpayer support to send weapons to the Netanyahu government and the government of Israel, even after we witnessed the devastation in Gaza. So, yeah, they‘re very strong and powerful lobbies. So is Big Pharma. So is Big Oil. So, in that sense, I do think that these big lobbies that spend a lot of money in elections, obviously they have similar characteristics.”
