GOTTHEIMER: "Obviously, I’m a very proud commonsense Democrat, and I don’t think DSA members are Democrats. They are socialists, right? And I'm all for them having a party if they want one, but if they are trying to take over our party, that is not acceptable to me. Their values, their ideas are certainly not in line with ours and they don’t support our leadership. They are trying to use the Democratic Party as a vessel for their ideas. And as you heard in some of these conventions, literally, they are supporting 'the communist manifesto' and Trotsky. They are anti-American, they're anti-cop, they don’t believe in borders. And frankly, the good news is there’s only 150,000 of them registered and there's 45 million Democrats, so we should make it very clear that they're not Democrats and they're not welcome in the Democratic Party."
