CNN: DoJ Hands Over Unredacted Epstein Files to Judge for Review
EXCERPT:
POLANTZ: “Well, Pamela, this is a moment where the Justice Department is being scrutinized for how they handled the redactions of the Epstein files when they released them and had to, under the law, release them earlier this year. This judge, it’s Emmet Sullivan in the D.C. District Court, he demanded that the Justice Department give him the unredacted versions of 10 different documents in the Epstein files that had redactions in them. Those redactions were supposed to be to protect witnesses or victim names. That‘s what the Justice Department says they were, and they are redactions that the judge wanted to look under the blacked out marking there and see what those names were, and if they were names that should be out there in the public domain.”
