Brit Hume on Covid Origins Amid Hearing: Fauci Is Probably Glad That He Was Given a Pardon

‘Think of the damage that was done by the shutdowns to the U.S. economy, to kids’ education’

RUSH EXCERPT:
HUME: "The FBI at the time had basically concluded that the lab leak was responsible for it. So this was — this Fauci was saying was flying in the face of what others on some authority were saying as well. And I think, you know, think of the damage that was done by the shutdowns to the U.S. economy, to kids’ education. I think it is fair to argue that lot of kids have may never from being out of school for the lengths of time that Fauci wanted them to be because he was urging these shutdowns. So I think, you know, this raises an intriguing question: if we now think and if the committee concludes that he knew better than some of the stuff he was saying, he probably will be glad that he was given a pardon but that does mean that he can’t take the fifth. If criminality is alleged against him and there are people who think that should be, the pardon may spare him criminal indictment, if it were to come to that, but it won’t spare him from having to testify because it can’t incriminate him if is he pardoned."
