Sen. Warren on the Maine Senate Race: ‘I’m Feeling Good About Troy Jackson,’ He’s the Right Guy

WARREN: "Oh, I’m feeling good. I’m feeling good about Troy Jackson. You’ll get to talk to him in just a minute. You’ll see why I’m feeling good. He’s the right guy for Maine. But I’m also feeling good. I’m feeling good about Michigan. I was just there. As you know. I was just there day before yesterday on the ground campaigning with Abdullah al sayed and the energy, the people who just can finish the sentences, you know, get money out of politics, get more money into people’s pockets and get health care for everyone. People get it. They get how the corruption links up to their higher costs, and they are ready to go out and knock on doors and make it happen. And, you know, here’s the thing on the issues, it is clear there are folks all over Michigan who are there with him, but the money is pouring in from the outside. You know, big pharma does not want someone who’s talking about how to bring down the cost of health care. Crypto doesn’t want someone who is talking about how to have a fairer system. And that’s aipac is coming in spending a lot of money there, $60 million committed for what? To try to stop him from becoming the democratic nominee. So I see this and the way I kept hearing it framed, it’s it’s the many versus the money. And we’re seeing that in Michigan. And I also got to say, we’re seeing it over in Minnesota in the primary there where we’ve got this terrific candidate, Peggy Flanagan. I’ve known her 10 years, somebody who’s really delivered for working people on the minimum wage and school lunches, built this grassroots campaign all across Minnesota, volunteers door to door. We were there together with lots of babies and mamas doing a huge event on universal child care. But she’s getting outspent enormously with crypto money, with aipac money that is coming in against her. So again, the many versus the money and that that’s how these races are."
