Faiz Shakir: The Voices That Are Not Speaking Out Against the Iran War Are Big Business
‘In fact, the only thing that tends to compel President Trump when he gets into trouble is when the Dow starts to dip, when the S&P 500 starts to move’
EXCERPT:
SHAKIR: "He is the big — he is the president of corporate monopolies. And you’ll note that in the Iran stuff that you’ve talked about at the front, Chris, the voices that are not speaking out against the Iran war are big business. And in fact, the only thing that tends to compel President Trump when he gets into trouble is when the Dow starts to dip, when the S&P 500 starts to move. Oh, you know, the oil inputs for some of my Big Tech oligarchs is a problem, not the condition of working class or small businesses in this country. But when big business stands up, and they can move him, but they are not doing it on the Iran war, which is interesting to me.”
