John Brennan: If You Look at All Things U.S. Has Done Toward Iran, ‘This Is Not Going to End Well for Us’

BRENNAN: "It shows that there’s no strategic approach. He’s making these tactical moves bomb, threaten, intimidate, bomb, threaten, intimidate. But there’s no strategic plan in terms of how we’re going to get out of this quagmire. And so again, I think the Iranian people are looking at the United States and saying, wait a minute, you just killed our leadership, our spiritual leader. You continue to bomb us. And they look out over the past 75 years. I mean, we always look at Iran as the chief state sponsor of terrorism, whatever, and all the things that they’ve done. And yes, it’s a ruthless regime. But if you look at all the things the United States has done toward them and they look at us, you know, we depose one of their prime ministers. We have -- we have killed leadership. We have done so much. This is not going to, I think, end well for us."
