John Brennan on Iran: ‘This Is an Unwinnable War for the United States’

BRENNAN: "Well, clearly, I think he’s flailing right now because he doesn’t really have a good plan or way ahead. We’ve launched massive attacks repeatedly against Iran, and they’ve not capitulated. They’re not going to give up. It pains me to say this is an unwinnable war for the United States. There’s just no way that this regime in Iran, which is now controlled by the IRGC, the Iranian revolutionary guard corps, is going to relent and give up because they’re determined to to oppose a foreign force, an intervention. So, you know, I think he’s threatening, just like he does in the domestic political scene. He tries to threaten and intimidate. It doesn’t work with the Iranians, and it’s not going to work."
