McCaskill: It Wouldn’t Surprise Me if McConnell Showed Up to Vote ‘No’ on Blanche’s AG Nomination

‘Obviously, Susan Collins can’t vote for him, so that’s one down’

EXCERPT:

MENENDEZ: “I'm curious, senator, since you know these folks better than most of us, who do you think is going to be the one most likely to hold the line here?”
MCCASKILL: “Well, obviously, Susan Collins can't vote for him. So that's one down. So you have to have at least one or two more. And, you know, the question in this big mix is, what does John Fetterman do? Fetterman is a real question mark right now. I think he's trying to send a message to the Democratic Party. And speaking of somebody who has leverage, can you imagine how bad it would be if we won the Senate and then Fetterman switched parties? That would be very bad. So there's a lot of pressures here going both ways. I would assume that you maybe could see Mitch McConnell show up and vote no. It wouldn't surprise me.”
